Edward Jones UX Work

An overview of my projects & approach at the leading investment firm.

The Projects

I began working at Edward Jones via a TEK Systems contract in January 2022. Initially I worked on various flow enhancements for life insurance and annuities products, then moved to the Trading Operations team for design work on the various trading platforms.

While I'm unable to share visuals or specifics due to NDA, I am happy to discuss my approach in a 1:1 interview.

The UX team for Trading consisted of myself and a UX Researcher. We managed updates and redesign work for 9 applications, working with the product owners for updates.

Our major project was a redesign of a legacy system from greenscreen to web. We engaged the front-end development team early in the project, starting with an inventory and audit of the existing application and connected platforms. We met with users to discuss their goals and experiences with the product, and designed concepts that were shared in cognitive walkthroughs for feedback.

We iterated on designs, continually testing with users, and held regular walkthroughs and status meetings with stakeholders, developers, and product owners.

At the end of my contract, we had amassed a great amount of user research, designs, and analytics that will be used to build the final version of the application.
